Bit Of A Track Hazard At Indycar Race

Over the weekend in the Indycar race at Barber Motors Park in Alabama, there was a mannequin hanging from a bridge at one point in the race, and this year, she fell.

New Seinfeld Movie, Actually Might Be Funny

Jerry Seinfeld (who turns 70 today) is releasing a new movie with an all-star cast on Friday called Unfrosted. Picture the space race - but the race to get a breakfast pastry to the shelf between Kellogg's and Post.

The Agony Of Defeat

Today in 1961, ABC's "Wide World of Sports" showed the "thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" for the very first time.

Tornado Footage Is Crazy

The footage that's come from the tornado outbreak in Nebraska and west Iowa last weekend is absolutely crazy.

This Minden, Iowa house was pulled off its foundation and moved about 20 feet to the right of where it used to be.

Train Stuck in Tornado

Eric Carlisle was inside of his train during one of the tornadoes, which passed right over his train. They were fine, but 31 cars were derailed.

It would seem that a 432,000-pound locomotive is heavy enough to not be picked up by a twister.

Opening Windows During A Tornadic Event

There's an old tip people have given for generations about your windows during tornadoes - if you open them, the pressure changes and winds are less likely to break your windows. It turns out, this isn't the case, and the pressure blast coming through the house could actually blow your roof off.

The NWS says to keep your windows closed and get away from them.

Mythbusters tested this theory for hurricanes a few years back.

Barry Tangert from Pennsylvania received a $900 refund from the federal tax return, but then he opened up the next piece of mail to find out that the state of Pennsylvania was saying he owed some money... $34 Billion to be exact.
