Today we welcome the first brewery in Eldridge! Salvador came in today to talk about The Granary which will be opening sometime this spring. They'll not only be brewing their own beer but they'll be roasting their own coffee and have some great food options as well.

We've got great breweries here in the Quad Cities, and we plan to show off their amazing products but I'm especially excited about checking out brews from places I've never been.

It's fruity and effervescent and as it gets a little warmer, the earthy tones hit a lot harder. I've taken road trips with less interesting journeys.

It's true! Some proceeds from this beer go to Ukraine to make actual Moltov Cocktails!

There’s a bit of a kinship between mead makers and craft brewers due to the fact that you get to experiment and come up with different flavor combinations. There’s an art to both of these beverages.

The Local Uncommon Tour rolls every Wednesday through May 18th for a new variation of Uncommon Stout featuring a coffee blend from a local coffee shop

You'll be able to understand what changing just one aspect of a beer will do to the taste and appreciate a brewers job that much more when they stay consistant.

"Emo Charlie" brought me in a dry Irish Stout that was an original Blue Cat recipe called Finnegan's. It's a nice roasty number that is going to quench your thirst all day long if you let it.

The original recipe of Mallard Ale was brewed as far back as 1995 during the heyday of Mallard Hockey and won a World Beer Award in 1996.
