Charlie Cole, head brewer at Blue Cat Brewing Co, came on to talk about the Local Uncommon Tour happening at another Rock Island Brewery, Bent River.  They take their normal Uncommon Stout recipe and swap the coffee beans with those from local coffee shops.

It's interesting to see what each variation brings to the flavor of Bent's most popular coffee stout.

Bent River Brewing Local Uncommon Tour rolls every Wednesday through May 18th for a new variation of Uncommon Stout featuring a coffee blend from a local coffee shop

Blue Cat has a coffee brown ale on tap for you to try. It's a lighter beer, being an ale instead of a stout.  They used the "Emo's Not Dead" coffee for last weeks Emo Night.  So, if you like coffee beer this is a great time of year for you!

The Craft Beer Wizards over at Wake Brewing has a new Facebook and Instagram account. The evil inter-web hackers took over their original accounts, which they have lost access to. In a day and age of digital marketing and awareness, it's important to establish a following. They are calling on their Cvlt to Like, Follow and Share the new pages to help spread the word. You don't want to miss their brew updates, food truck, and concert announcements. Also, go enjoy a pint or two in their taproom or grab some cans for the home fridge.
