Popular Frozen Meals Recalled In North Carolina For ‘Wood Like Substance’

Well, it's time to check the freezer, especially if you're someone who gets lunch out of the way by popping something from the freezer straight into the microwave.

According to a press release from Nestlé USA, they are voluntarily recalling some popular frozen meals sold in major grocery stores across the U.S. after receiving complaints of "Wood-like materials."

They said one of the incidents included a "potential choking incident," the food giant said in a notice shared by the FDA.

Nestlé added that they are doing the recall on their own accord, not because they're being required to, and are investigating the cause of the issue.

The recalled products include Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry and Stouffer's Party Size Chicken Lasagna produced between September 2024 and March 2025.

The products were all sold at Walmart stores in all 50 states.

If you have any of the following frozen meals in your freezer, you should return them to the point of purchase for a replacement product or a refund.
