A Pinellas Park neighborhood says a late-night disturbance turned dangerous after a naked man wandered through yards, damaged property, and tried to enter homes. A neighbor’s surveillance video shows the man walking across backyards and exposing himself.

Homeowners confront destruction

“I was asleep, and the doorbell rang, and I answered the door,” neighbor David Dale said. “Opened the door and there was a guy standing there, and he was stark naked.” Neighbors said the man, later identified by police as Joshua Garrison, caused heavy damage to houses and vehicles.

“He threw a pot of plants through my truck window and tore the lights off the front of my house,” Dale said. Another resident described video footage of the suspect forcing a screen off a house and trying to open a window. “He pulled this screen out, laid it down, attempted to get the window open, and then he goes back here,” the neighbor said.

Threat escalates — weapons and trespass

Neighbor Tim Reischmann said the intruder ran into his yard and behaved in a sexual manner before attempting to break in. “He went into my shed, grabbed an ax and came back on my porch,” Reischmann said. “We don’t know why he didn’t use it.” He added that the man then climbed over a six-foot fence using nearby wood and helped himself to drinks. “We see him grabbing a bottle of beer and a can of soda,” Reischmann said.

Neighbors feared for their safety

Several residents said the incident could have ended in violence. “We are all Second Amendment people here in Pinellas Park; we will shoot you,” one neighbor said. “He got lucky we didn’t wake up.”

Police arrested Joshua Garrison. He faces charges including burglary, criminal mischief and lewd behavior as the investigation continues.
