Another Golf Course Fight, But This One Ends In An Arrest
A Florida man took a page out of Nick Tarnasky's book, but the aftermath wasn't the same at all.
According to the arrest warrant that was issued, Jason Hughes attacked a golfer on the course in Kissimmee last month. Hughes told Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies that he was upset with the pace of play on the course.
The man reported to the cops that he and Hughes were exchanging words along the course. The guy was playing with a friend in front of Hughes, and Hughes said he kept telling the guy to hurry up with his pace of play.
At one point, the victim guy stopped to talk to his buddy - on the green of the hole.
Hughes walked over and punched the guy in the face repeatedly, and it took both of the men's playing partners to separate them.
The victim had a broken orbital bone - the bone above your cheekbone that helps hold your eyeball inside your head.
Hughes and his partner then got in their golf car and took it to their car in the parking lot, and got out of the area before officers arrived.
The golf course gave officers the information that led to the identification of Hughes, using security footage and the credit card used to check in.
Jason Hughes was booked into the Osceola County Jail on charges of aggravated battery causing bodily harm.
One of the conditions of his $2,500 bond is that he cannot play golf on any course open to the public.
