You've gotta respect anyone who's willing to throw caution to the wind and follow their dream, unless their dream is this stupid.

There's a 24-year-old guy in India named Bhanu Prakash Racha, who recently quit his job as a research assistant at a hospital so he can train full time to break the world record for most selfies taken in an hour.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson currently holds the record. He took 1,449 selfies in an hour back in January. Bhanu claims his personal best is 1,700, and he's aiming for 1,800. That would be 30 per minute, or one every two seconds.

He says he was riding the bus home from work back in May when he heard a group of kids talking about how Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had set a world record by taking 105 selfies in three minutes. That inspired him, because he always thought taking selfies was just for girls.

He says he's been doing a lot of hand and wrist exercises, so he'll be able to take non-stop pictures for an hour straight. He'll try to do it at a shopping mall in India this Friday, and says his family is supporting him 100%. No word on whether or not they're also supporting him financially now.
