UPDATE: New York auction brings in $1.1 million, including gloves worn by Muhammad Ali and Shoeless Joe's autograph. Read the update here.

This month a near-priceless baseball artifact will go to auction down in Texas. Inside a collection of photographs of Cincinnati ballplayers from the early 1900's sits a photo of Shoeless Joe Jackson, autographed by the banned 'Black Sox' player. Estimates are that it could sell for $100,000. I think that is way too low. Sought-after by collectors, there are believed to be less than 100 in existence. I say look for this to go for more like $500,000.
