Man Caught On Camera Taking Cash Right Out Of Drive-Thru Register
In a two minute clip that's gone viral on X, a man can be seen stealing straight from a cash register at a restaurant by reaching through the drive-thru window.
While employees were working inside the restaurant away from the window, they were too far away to see the man's arm and head appear in the window and reach for the unattended cash register, which still had the key in the lock.
He turns the key, carefully opens the drawer, and grabbed a fistful of $1 bills and receeds from the window. After surely realizing his feat only netted him about $8, he reaches in again and grabs larger denominations.
Then, the employees saw him, and ran over to the register, hollering at the man, who comes back and leans in the window to talk to them.
One of the employees was able to retrieve some of the cash.
The internet has been throwing around blame at the employees.
