Texas Teens Allegedly Attack Mom With Knives After She Turned Off WiFi
Three teenage sisters in Houston are facing charges after trying to kill their mom for turning off the Wi-Fi. They grabbed kitchen knives and chased her onto the street, trying to stab her.
Internet Withdrawal Turns Dangerous
Three teenage girls allegedly turned on their own mother after she committed the ultimate act of betrayal—shutting off the Wi-Fi. Authorities in Texas say the girls, ages 14, 15, and 16, coordinated a plan to attack their mother, even going so far as to arm themselves with kitchen knives.
Desperate Measures for Digital Connection
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the situation escalated on Sunday night when the mother cut off the household’s internet access. Instead of sulking like most teens, these three reportedly took a more hands-on approach—grabbing knives and chasing their mother out of their home and into the street.
One of the girls allegedly upped the ante by throwing a brick at her mother, striking her ankle. If that wasn’t enough, their 70-year-old grandmother was knocked over in the chaos while trying to shield her daughter from the attack.
No Wi-Fi, No Mercy
Despite the terrifying ordeal, both the mother and grandmother escaped serious injuries. However, the three girls were arrested and now face aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges. They were booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, where they might finally experience what true Wi-Fi deprivation feels like.
While internet access is a necessity in today’s world (just ask any teenager), experts generally agree that it’s not quite as essential as, say, food, water, or a healthy sense of boundaries.
