Imagine being called the "poop and run guy"...

Notorious Phone Thief Used a Foul Escape Tactic

Police in New Delhi have finally arrested a thief who had a bizarre way of avoiding capture—defecating on command. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Deepak, had been stealing mobile phones across the city and evading law enforcement by using an unhygienic yet highly effective escape strategy.

A Dirty Trick That Kept Police at Bay

Much like an actor crying on cue, Deepak had an uncanny ability to control his bowels. Whenever he felt cornered by police, he would soil himself, creating such an unbearable stench that officers were repelled long enough for him to flee. This tactic, now infamously known as the "poop and run" technique, allowed him to escape multiple times.

Delhi police admitted that despite numerous attempts to capture him, Deepak’s foul method had been remarkably effective. Officers often hesitated to engage him up close, giving him the crucial seconds he needed to slip away.

Police Finally Outsmart the ‘Filth Plan’

Deepak’s streak of escaping the law came to an end when a team of officers, equipped with masks and gloves, tracked him down near Eidgah Park. Anticipating his usual move, they pinned him down and ignored the overwhelming odor, securing his long-overdue arrest.

Following his capture, authorities charged Deepak under the Arms Act at Sadar Bazar Police Station. He reportedly confessed to multiple thefts and knife-related offenses. Police confirmed that he had a lengthy criminal record with over six cases against him across Delhi.

Fortunately, for Delhi residents, this "crappy" crime spree has finally come to an end.
