Make $1,300 By Watching 13 Horror Movies
Getting paid to do what you love can seem like an impossible dream, but it’s actually not that uncommon. There are all kinds of jobs out there where you can make money doing something that interests you, or even just something you enjoy doing on the side. From the downright strange to the more traditional work-at-home gigs, this list has all sorts of great options to consider when planning your next career move!
But have you thought about watching movies as a side hustle? No. You haven't because that's a ridiculous idea.
Or is it?
A website wants to pay someone $1,300 to watch 13 horror movies while their heartrate is monitored. Some of the films include "Saw", "The Amityville Horror", "A Quiet Place", "The Blair Witch Project", "Get Out", "Paranormal Activity", and "Annabelle".
They'll also send you a FitBit to wear, so they can monitor your heartbeat and see how SCARED you get. The movies were made with varying budgets, and they supposedly want to know if that affects the amount of scares a movie delivers.
Horror movies are the kind of cinematic category that everybody seems to have their own opinion about. Some people love horror movies, while others loathe them with every bone in their body. But why do people love to watch horror movies?
Part of our love for horror films is a desire to be scared. If a movie can make us feel a range of emotions, from joy to anger to sadness and fear, we’re going to want to see it more than once. Maybe we aren’t really afraid of being killed by some killer or monster—but watching those scenes makes us feel as if we were fighting for our lives. It’s that rush that keeps us coming back for more.
