John Register Talks Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month
Paralympic Medalist, Combat Veteran, and motivational speaker John Register gave us a call today, and it was so captivating and became such a deep conversation, that we went a whole hour of our show with no commercials.
If you missed part of the call or missed it altogether, or just want to listen through one more time because so many good things were said, we have the full interview up for you to listen to right here.
John served six years in the U.S. Army, including operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and in active duty with the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program, where he wone nine gold medals in Armed Services Competition and two World Military Championships.
Register had to have his left leg amputated after a misstep over a hurdle changed his life. He hyperextended his knee and severed the popliteal artery. After making the U.S. Paralympic Team in 1996, John went on to win a silver medal in the long jump, as he set an American record, and sprinted to fifth in the 100 meters and 200 meters at the U.S. Paralympic Games in Sydney.
These days, John Register is a change mindset warrior and is the author of 10 Power Stories to Impact Any Leader.
