Florida Woman Mistakes Being 37 Weeks Pregnant For Food Poisoning

There's a fine line between eating some iffy orange chicken and the blessed miracle of creating human life. I guess.

29-year-old Crystal Amerson from Pensacola, Florida woke up around 4:00 A.M. on Sunday with some serious stomach pains. She figured she'd gotten food poisoning from the Chinese food she'd eaten earlier.

The pain was so debilitating that she wound up calling 911. The ambulance got there around 6:30 A.M. and at 6:59 A.M. she gave birth as they were driving to the hospital.

It turns out she was 37 weeks pregnant, but she had no idea. Crystal was having the stomach pains because she was in labor.

The doctors say it's crazy that she didn't realize she was pregnant, especially since she already had another kid, so she knew what pregnancy symptoms felt like.

Crystal says she didn't get much of a belly, she didn't have morning sickness, she didn't feel any kicks or the baby moving, and she wears scrubs at work so she didn't notice her clothes fitting differently.

Fortunately, she and her new baby son are both doing well.
