A woman was arrested after throwing a brick through her ex-husband's window.  She tried denying it, but she was caught on video doing it... and the brick had a message on it that commemorated their first date in 2020.

Romantic Reminder Turns into Evidence

A Florida woman was taken into custody after she allegedly hurled a brick through the window of a home, an act that was caught on security footage, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Sabrina Coyne, 34, showed up at her supposed ex-husband’s residence in Bonita Springs on the night of Jan. 24, banging on the door in an attempt to be let inside. When ignored, security footage captured Coyne tossing a brick toward the house while recording the incident on her phone.

Sentimental Stone Becomes Key Piece of Evidence

The brick, which shattered the glass, carried an unexpected clue—it was engraved with the words, “First Date. Sabrina & [redacted] Jet Skiing with [redacted]. June 14, 2020.” The personalized inscription seemingly commemorated a past moment between Coyne and the homeowner, turning the sentimental object into incriminating evidence.

The homeowner, awakened by the loud crash and persistent banging, called authorities. Deputies arriving on the scene found Coyne still outside the home, where she denied causing any damage.

Denial and Desperation on Display

When questioned, Coyne insisted she had only been trying to contact her ex-husband and maintained that she still lived at the home. “I did not break the window,” she reportedly told officials.

As deputies spoke with her, she was heard repeatedly pleading with a man, saying, “Sugarboo, don’t do this,” and also stating, “It wasn’t me.”

Coyne was ultimately arrested and charged with criminal mischief and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied dwelling.
