Julio Solano, the car's owner, captured the incident on his cellphone as he confronted 33-year-old Ravesh Rabindranauth.
“Hey man, this isn’t your car, this is mine,” Solano told Rabindranauth, who responded by asking, "Can I get out?"
Solano replied, "No, you can’t. We’re calling the police."
The unusual situation unfolded Monday morning after Solano had breakfast and returned to his vehicle, which was parked in a garage near Washington Avenue and 16th Street in Miami Beach.

Police Arrive To Handle The Situation
Miami Beach police arrived on the scene shortly after and arrested Rabindranauth, who now faces burglary charges. According to Solano, Rabindranauth had broken into the Corvette but couldn’t figure out how to start the car or get out due to the vehicle’s advanced security features.
“The car's electrical systems won’t work without the key fob, and he didn’t realize there was a manual release lever under the seat,” Solano explained.
Investigators noted that Solano had alerted the owner of Premiere Auto Miami 1, a luxury car rental company that houses vehicles in the same garage, about the incident.
Rabindranauth was read his Miranda rights and cooperated with officers, according to authorities. A check of his records revealed no prior local criminal history or outstanding warrants.
Facing Charges
Currently, Rabindranauth is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond set at $2,500. He faces a charge of burglary of an unoccupied vehicle.
