Teenagers have no idea how the world works. Believe it or not, there's a group of them who actually admitted it.

A server waited on a group of 13-year-olds who were out at a restaurant on their homecoming date last October. Their parents weren't with them, so these kids were all alone for the first time.

There were four of them, and they all got dinner. The waiter had to accommodate a few allergies and basically walk them though the ordering process. But he treated them like adults, which they loved. In the end, their tip only added up to $3.28.

It turned out that was all they had left after they paid for their food. They were so clueless, they didn't even know it was a bad tip. But when they found out, they were devastated.

About a week later, they wrote a two-page apology where they talked about how great he was, and admitted they didn't know what they were doing. Then they went back to the restaurant with a much more appropriate 18% tip.

They also tacked on a little extra to say thank you for, "simply being amazing." Here's the full note:
