“Keep Your Pliers Close” with Blasdell Family Auto

Wiley Blasdell has worked on my vehicles for the better part of a decade.  He's exactly what you want in a mechanic: trustworthy, friendly & talented.

He and his wife Autumn started Blasdell Family Auto Repair in Morrison Il 5 years ago with the idea that if you are honest & do good work...people will come back.  He wants you to leave with a smile because, especially in a small town, word of mouth is important to a business.  He works tirelessly to make sure his customer knows for a fact that their vehicle is in good hands and feel secure dropping it off.

He got started in the garage at a young age where his dad & grandpa taught him how to fix stuff when you break it.  An idea that, unfortunately, is a relic of the past.

His grandfather started  a shop in 1986 when grandma bought him a hoist to work on cars so he could quit his job.  He started with tractors but the locals kept him busy with minor repairs.  Add in the family & friends being hard on their equipment and he was able to make it work.

Wiley comes from a long line of family who plays hard so it's a good thing that the ability to fix things got passed along too.  Whether it's him or his kids on the 4 wheeler and doing some off-roading, having a set of pliers near is important.

"Keep a set of pliers close. You never know what you'll need them for".

Words his grandfather taught him.  That....and to support your community. Look out for other people and good things will happen.  I'm glad good things are happening to this fella.  A talented man who likes to make sure people are smiling at the end of the day.
