Ahead of the Curve at Village Home Stores

I talked with Elizabeth Round, the marketing director at Village Home Stores. They started out in Cambridge, but Geneseo, Il is where they call home.

Appliance sales & service, lighting, flooring, wall tile, kitchen cabinets & counter tops...pretty much everything you would need if you're building or remodeling a home.

They've gotten a bit of a head start on the new way of doing things. Their website already has a "shop online" element paired with a text platform that allows you to reach out to ask questions regarding inventory or service calls. This keeps you from having to physically be at there store to shop locally and if you need a fridge filter to set up a delivery...they'll be able to serve you safely.

Elizabeth also hosts a segment on WQAD that is basically a local version of the remodel shows you see on HGTV. She is passionate about this business and loves to tell the story of local projects. They are currently on hiatus but are working on a "home movies" version of the show where they have people submit videos from their customers.

As a marketing director, Elizabeth enjoys blogging about projects so potential customers can see the kind of work they do.
