A Florida woman is behind bars after stealing a tricycle and taking it for a ride in one of the last places you ever should be.

Officials with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office say the woman, who hasn't been identified, climbed up a perimeter fence to enter the Clearwater U.S. Coast Guard Air Station property.

From there, she found a tricycle belonging to the Coast Guard - used for transporting tools and employees across the property - and rode it straight over to the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

The woman rode straight through the signage warning that she would be trespassing onto the property of an operational airport, which is a felony. Airport personnel noticed the woman biking on the taxiway from the security feed.

After riding to the ramp behind Terminal A of the airport, the woman ditched the tricycle behind an Allegiant aircraft before being confronted by Allegiant Airlines employees.

The woman is facing charges of felony trespassing onto an operational area of an airport and grand theft, records show.

Erik Villa, spokesperson for the U.S. Coast Guard District 7, the woman was initially attempting to gain access to a Coast Guard aircraft. She couldn't get in, so she took the tricycle to try and board a commercial flight that was bound for Argentina before being apprehended.
