Slipknot have continued to expand their brand over the years, with a Des Moines-based haunted house adding to their legacy. The Slaughterhouse is up and running for 2018 in "Dead Moines" and the Des Moines Register has a new teaser video giving a glimpse of the experience along with narration from creative director Ian Miller.

"It's a whole other world. It's a cinematic walk-through experience," says Miller, in the video, revealing that the theme is that the people are the animals being set up to be slaughtered.

As can be seen, there are a number of Slipknot-related items throughout the attraction, while the band's lyrical content also plays into the themes.

The Slaughterhouse is open Thursday through Sundays every week in October, plus it will be open on Halloween night. Tickets cost $20 and it's estimated that 12,000 people may attend the attraction, which is a significant jump over last year's attendance.

“It’s all about a special experience, making it one-on-one, almost,” said Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn Crahan. “It really is going to be a moment in our history, in their history. And our history in Des Moines.”
