University of Wisconsin Revokes Charter After Fraternity Nearly Kills Girl With a Television
A fraternity chapter has had its charter permanently revoked by the University of Wisconsin-Madison after a girl was nearly killed by a television.
Back in June, a video was posted online that shows a falling TV just missing a female student that was walking by. The TV was dropped during a party at the Kappa Sigma frat house. The University revoked the frat's charter citing a violation of the Student Organization Code of Conduct.
Kappa Sigma will be able to appeal the University's decision, but they can not attempt to re-register as a student organization for five years.
