Falling Into Flames

Shortly after dousing gasoline and spraying it all over the security camera, one of the suspects then ignites gasoline to set the building on fire, but he wasn't thinking very smart because he accidentally lit himself and his partner on fire.

One man immediately runs out of camera view, and the other man tried to run but slipped on a puddle of gasoline, falling into the flames and catching on fire. He quickly gets back up and runs away, while on fire.

I guess they never learned how to Stop, Drop, and Roll in school.

The Aftermath

The Kern County Fire Department received a call about the small Immigration Service building having flames blazing up from the ground.

KCFD Captain Andrew Freeborn told Eyewitness News that the fire was put out in about 10 minutes. “When firefighters arrived, they had found that the fire was located towards the rear of the structure and the garage area."

Unfortunately, the flames had made their way inside the building and caused damage, but firefighters were able to keep flames contained in the garage area.

Eyewitness News spoke to the owner of the business, Servicio de Immigracion, and the owner told reporters he was devastated that someone would want to burn his business down and he doesn't know how to move on from something like this.

As far as the suspects, it's unclear how badly they were injured. They have not yet been identified.
