Alaska is a great place to go on vacation, unless you want to get drunk and have unprotected sex with a bunch of locals. If that's what you're after, it's the worst place to go.

According to a new study, Alaska is the state where you're most likely to catch an STD from hooking up with someone. Researchers looked at stats from the CDC, state and local health groups, and social media surveys.

The eleven most disease-ridden states are:

3. North Carolina
4. Mississippi
5. New Mexico
6. South Carolina
7. Georgia
8. Oklahoma
9. Arkansas
10. Alabama
11. Illinois

The states where you're least likely to catch something are:

1. New Hampshire
2. West Virginia
3. Maine
4. Vermont
5. Utah
6. Idaho
7. Wyoming
8. Massachusetts
9. Connecticut
10. New Jersey
11. Iowa
