I recently went off on a tangent about how the Iowa Beef Council screwed over the Quad Cities when their list of the best burgers in Iowa didn't include anything East of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, noting that there are a ton of great burgers here in the QCA that are seriously awesome.

Looking back I realize that some of the fault lies on us Quad Citizens. Yes, even me. Those burgers were all nominated by someone and it seems that maybe we didn't nominate anyone. Well not this time!!!

I recently stumbled upon the Best Breaded Pork Tenderloin Contest hosted by the Iowa Pork Producers Association, and I think there are several restaurants here in the Quad Cities that could use a nomination.

Nominations for this year's competition started a couple of weeks ago and are accepted through June 6th. Restaurants are not allowed to nominate themselves, so it's up to all of us to nominate them. You can nominate your favorite hereor you can mail in your nomination. No email, social media, or call-in nominations will be accepted.

Winners will be announced in October for National Pork Month. Here's the list of past winners which includes Gramma's Kitchen in Walcott (2011) and Go Fish Marina Bar & Grill in Princeton (2014).

Here are some of my favorites in the Quad Cities.
