Dairy Manufacturers Inc. Issues Voluntary Recall of Infant Formula Products
The decision to recall these products follows a notification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) indicating that the products do not comply with the agency's infant formula regulations as outlined under section 21 CFR 106.110. Specifically, Dairy Manufacturers Inc. had not submitted the required premarket notification, meaning the formulas have not been evaluated by the FDA to confirm they meet U.S. food safety and nutritional standards.
The products in question are labeled as infant formulas and packaged in cardboard and aluminum cans of 12.4 ounces. They were exclusively sold within the state of Texas. No illnesses or adverse reactions related to the consumption of these products have been reported to date.
