A home in Raleigh, North Carolina in the news just recently for their over-the-top and impressive Halloween yard display is in the headlines again after thousands of dollars worth of decor was stolen from the yard.

"They took Crouchy the clown," Jesse Jones said of the items stolen. "They took a Pennywise I had made for me."

"The Oakwood House" is known for its elaborate display that's been in the making for twelve years now.

"When I was growing up we didn't do a big Halloween," Jones said. "My dad saw it as a waste of time. I said, when I get my own house, I'm going to have a big Halloween."

The theft saw multiple animatronics taken, among them being Jason from Friday the 13th and a custom-made clown.

"They took two Killer Clowns From Outter Space. They took Jason," he said.

It wasn't just his yard either, the other neighbors who had also been inspired to do more with their yards by Jones also had items stolen.

"There’s not a resale value for these unless you pop them on Facebook Market and somebody picks them up," Jones said. "I don’t understand what the purpose is unless they want a big Halloween house themselves."

Police asking anyone who has seen some high-end and out-of-place Halloween decorations to let them know.

"They targeted and took the good stuff," Jones said. "They didn’t mess with the stuff that was cheaper. They took the high-end stuff, so they knew what they were doing."

The house has decor all year long - a life-sized velociraptor that guards the front porch. When Halloween comes around, the Jones House goes all out. Dragons, gargoyles, statues, horror movie characters, and other Halloween decor.

Anybody who has seen or knows anything is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department.
