Slingshot Bungee Cord Snaps Before Launch

It was just earlier this week when we were talking about the kid who banged his nuts on a slingshot ride with his mom in Daytona, FL. Well, there's another story about a slingshot-style ride in the news, and this time the ride never even got off the ground.

On Saturday in Panama City Beach, FL two passengers were waiting for their ride on the "Vertical Accelerator" to begin at Cobra Adventure Park when, as the ride operator goes to launch them, and one of the ride’s two main cables fails and snaps.

These two should probably buy a lottery ticket.
