The Run the Rock 5K/10K Race and the American’s Kids Run have returned!  And it's just in time for Rock Island Arsenal’s 160th Anniversary.  We have your chance to win a free registration for the 5k race and America's Kid Run below!

On  Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 21st, from 8:30 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. you can get on the Rock Island Arsenal and run the rock.  This is a special race as the Quad Cities come together to thank those who serve in America's Armed Forces.

What is happening at the Rock Island Arsenal on Armed Forces Day?

Not only will the day be filled with the 10k, 5, and four different kids races, but you can also enjoy displays of military equipment, and the history of the Arsenal, a kids’ zone, petting zoo, local vendor Bazaar, food trucks, live music from Cody Road and more.

For those that have not been to the Arsenal for the race or other events, you will enter the Arsenal at the Rock Island Gate.

Packet Pick Up:

4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 20 at the Lock and Dam Lounge (Building 60 on the Arsenal)

Race Day Registration:

6:30-8 a.m. at Memorial Field and it is cash or checks only.

Starting times:

9 a.m. - 100 yd dash, 1/2 mile
9:15 a.m. - 1 mile & 2 miles
10 a.m. - 5K & 10K (following the kids races)
