Arsenal Bridge Closing This Friday

The Arsenal Bridge is closing on Friday, June 19th. No cars or pedestrians will be allowed to cross the bridge.

Don't worry, this isn't forever. The Arsenal Bridge will only be closed for one day. The bridge will be closed from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM for cleaning. Who knew large bridges needed a good scrub-a-dub-dub?

Here is the exact press release sent from the U.S. Army Garrison Rock Island Arsenal Public Affairs Office:

"Government Bridge Closure for cleaning.
ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. – Rock Island Arsenal Directorate of Public Works will
close the Government Bridge to pedestrian and vehicle traffic on Friday, June 19 from
6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for cleaning.
Flagmen and signage will be in place during this temporary closure."
