Parents Are Upset that a Doll of Princess Leia in Her Slave Outfit is Being Sold as a Children’s Toy
They recently made a new Princess Leia figure that is now on toy store shelves, it's advertised for ages 4 and up. The only problem is, she's in her slave outfit from "Return of the Jedi".
When a single dad from New Jersey and his two daughters saw one at their local Target, he wasn't happy. He says, "That's pretty inappropriate. I got 2 daughters I don't need seeing that crap."
He added, "They're like, 'Dad why does this doll have a chain around its neck?' I don't have any answers. I was just blown away looking at it." Local news talked to a few other parents, who also thought the doll was inappropriate for kids.
Reached for comment, Target said, "We have not received any other guest complaints about this product."
