Can you keep a secret? I'm having more than one of these.  I bought a six-pack because I knew it was gonna be good.  So this review is about the first three Paddle Wheels!

Just the facts:

Bottle temp at opening: 38 degrees.

Drinking temp: 40 degrees.

Nose: I swear I smell a little chocolate, or milkweed.

Taste: Smooth, with a tart little finish.

Gosh darn it I'm starting to love the beer snobbery taking place at Bent River Brewing Co.  All their beers are quite easy on the tongue, each with it's own personality.  This smooth Pale Ale is heavy on the malt flavor, but not thick because of it.  There's a light sweetness about it too, but not kiss-from-gramma sweet, more like first girlfriend sweet.  Thanks for this one, Billy Michaels!  And the folks at the Bent River as well.
