Hefe; Around The World In 50 Beers
This is an offering from Widmer Brothers Brewing, who I believe had me looking for a bucket with some Okto Festival Ale. I'm sure it's my undefined beer palette, but this hefeweizen from the same brewery is spectacular.
Just the facts:
Bottle temp at opening: 38 degrees.
Drinking temp: 39 degrees.
Nose: a nice tart without being sweet.
Taste: Kinda thin in the wheat, but a hint of caramel makes up for it. 'Fresh' comes to mind.

Hefe cold, on a crisp fall morning, was a great start to Sunday football. This beer reminds me of Blue Moon, like you could throw a slice of orange on it if you were looking for more citrus than is already present. But it was light enough and sweet to not need any garnish--at least for me. SO far this beer is performing better than the Bears against the Lions.
