Iowa State Fair Announces Free Grandstand Show From John Waite

Earlier this week, Rod Stewart cancelled the remainder of his tour due to a procedure where he had a stent put in. This meant that his Friday, August 14th show at the Iowa State Fair was cancelled, and that left a void for the fair to scramble to fill.

Thursday afternoon, the Iowa State Fair announced the replacement would be John Waite.

"While we are disappointed Rod Stewart can't join us, we wanted to bring Fairgoers another great night of live music," the fair wrote on their Facebook page.

Not only did they find a replacement, they're giving fairgoers a free show. All you have to do is get through the front gate of the State Fair for $16 general admission.

At the end of the night, you'll be able to see the Fair's drone show and star-spangeled fireworks display, which begins at 10:15pm.
