My Birthday Gift: Witnessing the Bears Winning and a Gorilla on the Field
Like it or not, I turned 50 yesterday. To celebrate the occasion, my wife took me to Chicago to catch the Bears-Lions game. This was one of the Luxury Limo packages that Dwyer goes on every year.
I grabbed video of the player intros and also the "guy in the gorilla suit" incident.
Several Bears players have a pre-game prayer in the south end zone.

The entire time she was there, she was followed by two interns:
Staley, the Bear’s mascot, tosses out shirts throughout the game. But here’s the deal: the shirts have NOTHING to do with the Bears, the NFL, or even football. It’s tough to make out, but the shirt says “Pieper Christmas Cruise 2011.” The back of the shirts had all the family members names listed in the shape of a Christmas tree. Yep. Leftover shirts from some holiday themed family get-together.
