McDonald’s Unveils ‘Golden Shamrock Shake’ eBay Auction, Each Worth $90k

Earlier this month, McDonald's announced they were installing devices to keep their ice cream machines from breaking down. It looks like those new devices are going to get a workout this Shamrock Shake season.

To celebrate 50 years of the Shamrock Shake, McDonald's is holding a contest where one lucky winner will win an 18-karat gold Shamrock Shake cup with 50 emeralds and and white diamonds on it.

The cup is worth $90,000.

Contestants are granted an entry into the drawing everytime they buy a Shamrock Shake through the McDonald's app.

If you're not a Shamrock Shake fan but want the cup, or you're just one of those people who would rather buy the item than spend more money trying to win it, McDonald's is doing a charity auction for one on eBay. The bidding started at $1, and is already up to $30,000 with over 50 bidders.
