Matt Stutzman “The Armless Archer” Won a National Championship
Our friend Matt Stutzman is a phenomenal archer and he does it all without the use of arms. Matt was born without arms and taught himself how to shoot a bow and arrow with just his feet.
Over the weekend at the USA Archery Outdoor National Championships, "The Armless Archer" took gold in the target championship and silver in the open compound final.
His results from the competition in Westfield, Indiana will help him earn a spot on the US Archery World Cup Team.
Matt has a great attitude about the whole thing:
“If a guy without arms can get a bow and sit down and compete with the best in the world at a sport with them using their arms, what’s your excuse?” asked Stutzman. “Why aren’t you doing what you want to do? Get off the couch and get it done.”
