Man Turns Garage into Vintage Arcade
Matthew Russell has a thing for nostalgic arcade games. So much so that he transformed his garage into a vintage arcade called the Short Circuit Arcade - complete with glow-in-the-dark carpet, neon lights, black lights, lasers, and rows and rows of machines.
Working as an electronic technologist, Russell, was able to start collecting machines 12 years ago and fixing them up. Then as his basement got too full with machines it became apparent that he needed to expand.
Among the games that he has in his arcade are Burger Time, TMNT, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Bros, a hockey table and a whole row of pinball machines.
“When I was a kid I used to play arcade games… I just had a love for video games. We used to hang out there every lunch hour and after school. Great times." He told CTV News Channel
He really looks like he's having the time of his life.
