Florida Man Opens His Neighbor’s Door, Returns Dog’s Poop

A Lake County man is accused of getting into a fight with one of his neighbors over a dog relieving itself in his yard.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff's Office say they arrested Trey Decloedt this weekend in Leesburg.

“I’ve complained about the dogs sh***ing in my yard. I said something to his old lady about it. She said she would pick it up. Four hours later, it was still there. I set it on the edge of the driveway right there,” Decloedt told officers in bodycam footage.

The neighbor tells a different story. He says that Trey walked over to his house, opened the front door, shouted at him while holding the dog turds, and then threw it at him - hitting him.

Naturally, like anybody would've done, the neighbor started throwing hands with Trey, because who wouldn't when hit with a pile of dog sh*t?

In the fight, Trey hit the victim in the head a couple of times, and then grabbed a scooter and held it over his head like he was going to swing it at the neighbor.

Deputies say Trey told them he and the neighbor had an agreement and understanding that they could enter each other's homes without knocking, and that when he walked over to talk about the issue, the neighbor shoved him first, which led to the fight.

“I mean, he scratched my neck all up when he grabbed me. There’s two sides to this story,” Decloedt said on the bodycam footage, growing agitated with the responding officers.

Deputies say they spoke to the victim about the claim they could enter each other's homes, and the victim showed them a recording of him telling Trey he was not welcome in the house.

Decloedt faces charges of burglary with battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and simple battery.
