Bikers 4 Backpacks Will Get Kids Ready For School With a Rock Show at Rascals
Can you believe it's almost time for school...again? Soon, Quad Cities parents are going to be sending the little ones (and the ones that aren't so little anymore) to school with all the supplies they need for another year of learning.
However, not all families in the Quad Cities can afford the supplies that their children need for the school year. That is where bikers step in and step up to get these kids what they need!
Bikers 4 Backpacks School Supply Fundraisers
The kids need a lot of supplies for school. Items you can donate include:
- Backpacks
- Gluesticks
- Scissors
- Elmers glue
- Calculators
- Colored pencils
- Pocket folders
- College ruled notebooks
- Wide ruled notebooks
- Loose leaf paper
- Cigar-shaped pencil box
- Markers (fat, large or small)
- 24 count crayons
Or if you don't have time to make it to a store to pick up some supplies, cash donations are always accepted and appreciated.
Two Different Events Coming Up
The first chance to enjoy a good time and help out the kids is this Saturday, July 20 at Rascals Live in Moline. Wonkzilla's Zombie Experience will be playing with Sleepyhead.
The second is the 10th annual ride on Sunday, July 28. Registration will be at Kavanaugh's Hilltop from 8:30 - 10:30. The cost of the ride, is a backpack with supplies!
There will be stops at Peacocks in Port Byron, Mick's in Annawan, Wolf Road Waystation in Geneseo, Aanna's in Milan, and Schwiebert Park.
And while you are riding and giving, you can win as well. There will be a raffle for a 1995 FXDS Dyna Convertible.
Keep up with the ride and all things Bikers 4 Backpacks on their Facebook page!
