It's St. Patrick's Day weekend 2023 and the Quad Cities is gearing up for an exciting weekend full of green, fun, food, beer, and the annual parade and race. Ahead of a busy St. Patty's Day weekend in the Quad Cities, the City of Davenport has released its road closures for both the 41st annual CASI St. Patrick's Day Race and the XXXVII Grand Parade.

Things begin early Saturday morning and road closures in Davenport will begin as early as 5:00 a.m.

In a social media post earlier this week, the City of Davenport released its road closures for the CASI - Center for Active Seniors St. Patrick's Day 5K and the St. Patrick Society of the Quad Cities Grand Parade XXXVIl. To avoid any confusion or delays, make sure you know when W 3rd St closes, reopens, and the length of the road that is closed.

CASI - Center for Active Seniors St. Patrick's Day 5K

The 41st annual CASI - Center for Active Seniors St. Patrick's Day 5K begins at 10 a.m. Packet pickup and late registration begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Davenport. The 5K begins and ends at the intersection of Harrison and 2nd Streets.

The XXXVII Grand Parade Route

According to St. Patrick's Society officials, the day begins on Saturday, March 18, 2023, with Mass at St. Mary’s (2204 4th Ave. Rock Island) at 10:00 a.m., then the St. Patrick’s Grand Parade will start at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of 4th Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island.

The parade will travel through downtown Rock Island, across the Mississippi River over the Talbot/Centennial Bridge to W 3rd St., and proceed east through downtown Davenport to the RiverCenter at E 3rd and Perry Streets.

The Post-Parade Bash will take place at the RiverCenter from 1-4 p.m. with other parties being held at various bars and restaurants in downtown Davenport
