Iowa Rated 3rd Best State For Women In The U.S.

A study comparing statistics about women in every state comes out with Iowa in third place for the best state in the country for women.

They compared 9 categories:

• Median Earnings
• Unemployment Rate
• Percent of Women in Poverty
• Percent of Women-Owned Businesses
• High School Graduation Rate
• Percent of Women Voters in 2016 Presidential Election
• Uninsured Rate
• Life Expectancy at Birth
• Homicide Rate of Women

Iowa ranked 3rd overall, with a two different wins:

• Unemployment: Tied for 1st
• High School Graduation Rate: 5th best

The state received overall third with a total rating of 71.17, and received third as well for 'Women's Economic & Social Well Being.'
