The Hershey Bears Hockey Team set the new world record for a Teddy Bear toss, where fans throw teddy bears on the ice to be donated to local children's charities. The record was at 34,798 teddy bears.

Sunday the team broke their own record, with a whopping 45,650 bears thrown into the rink. The toss started after the first goal scored by Christian Djoos' in the first period.




 

The players jumped into the massive piles of the bears to celebrate the moment.




 

From a few inches tall, to a seven foot tall sloth, the fans throw for about 3 minutes. With ten thousand in attendance, an average of five bears were brought per fan. One family brought over two hundred bears to throw.  Read more on NHL
