Government Cracks Down On Social Media’s #KekeChallenge
It seems like every week there's a new "challenge" that the kids are doing on social media. Well the newest one has got the government involved.
Drake's new song "In My Feelings" spawned a dance challenge when an Instagram star posted a video of himself dancing outside of a parked car. The #KekeChallenge went viral soon after, even Will Smith got in on the action.
The challenge took a turn when people weren't satisfied with dancing next to an stationary vehicle. Dancers started hopping out of their cars while driving and dancing in the street. It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt and that is exactly what happened.
Enough people received injuries from dancing in traffic and jumping out of moving cars that the National Transportation Safety Board had to issue a warning. "Distraction in any mode is dangerous & can be deadly," they said in a Facebook post. "Whether you are a driver, pilot, or operator, focus on safely operating your vehicle."
Of course, those in search of internet fame rarely listen to the government. The #KekeChallenge will probably continue on until the next viral trend takes over. The best part is that there's video evidence of these idiots running into poles and falling out of their cars:
