Go Over the Edge for Kids’ Sake and Rappel the Hotel Blackhawk

A really cool fundraising event is happening in downtown Davenport this summer and there's only a few spots left for people who are interested in going over the edge.

Over The Edge is an event that I took part in four years ago when it happened out in Des Moines. Pat Miletich and I rappelled down the side of the Financial Building to raise money for Special Olympics Iowa.

The whole experience is scary, exhilarating, fun, and safe all at the same time. I seriously never thought I would do something as crazy as rappelling down the side of building, but I'm glad I did.

Now Quad Citizens have their chance to go over the edge to help out Big Brothers Big Sisters. On Saturday, August 25th, Edgers will be rappelling off the Hotel Blackhawk.

About 90 rappelling positions will be filled and each Edger will bring in a minimum of $1,000 for the cause. You can register as an Edger or donate online. For more information check out OverTheEdgeQC.org.
