Fundraiser for National Pearl Button Museum is Saturday
There's a fundraiser for the National Pearl Button Museum in Muscatine on Saturday, January 18th.
QC Blues Hall of Fame band, Blues Rock-it will be playing from 5-8pm and Barry B and Button Bandits will open for them at 4pm.
All proceeds will benefit the museum, their clean water initiative and their group the Mussel of Muscatine. They are raising funds to support the Pearl Button Museum and trying to raise awareness of how vital the freshwater mussel is to our ecosystem, and to bring ecotourism to the Muscatine and eastern Iowa area. Its also an event to get people to come to the museum & learn about the history of Muscatine & the pearl button industry, and how important it was to the area.
It’s a bring your own beverage event, entry is by ticket only and are available at the museum for $10 each, only 100 tickets are being sold. Seating is provided on a first come first serve basis.
