Banana Not Seized, But Battery Charges Follow
While the banana itself was not kept as evidence, the store clerk was left with a visible mark from the incident. Turner was charged with battery and taken to jail, where she is being held without bond due to a violation of probation. Authorities noted that Turner had a previous conviction for grand theft after stealing merchandise worth $800 from a Walmart store.
More Trouble for Turner: Resisting Arrest and Violating Probation
In addition to the banana battery incident, Turner has faced multiple legal issues, including a recent arrest for resisting police officers and providing a false name during a trespassing call at Baby Dolls, a nearby gentleman’s club where she works. Turner is currently on probation for her theft conviction and has failed to meet several court-ordered requirements, including completing community service hours and paying fines.
