Florida Police Find Stolen Donut Van, Hand Out Donuts to the Homeless
Last week a Krispy Kreme van was reported stolen in Lake City, Florida. Police were able to located it just a few hours later.
The officers contacted the store's manager to tell them the good news and the van was still loaded with dozens of fresh donuts. By the time the donuts were returned to the store, they would have gone stale.
The manager told the cops to just keep them. According to the old cliché, they must have LOVED that.
Instead of eating them or keeping the donuts for themselves, the police decided to hand them out to the homeless. The police station has a daily event where they hand out food, so they made Tuesday donut day.
