Florida Man Used 87-Year-Old Woman To Mop Up Dog Urine
A man from Pensacola, Florida has been accused of using an 87-year-old woman as a mop to clean up dog urine, per an arrest report from police.
56-year-old Leonard Ervin Wayne Tucker was arrested last Thursday and charged with elderly abuse.
According to the arrest report, the incident, which was fully caught on video, took place on November 20, 2022.
The report says Tucker had been living with the woman as a paid caregiver since 2018. It adds he had been a family friend since the 1990s and was trusted enough to be her caregiver.
Tucker previously spent 11 years in state prison from 2005-2016 on a homicide-manslaughter charge in Santa Rosa County that came from a Navarre-area house fire in 2004 that ended up leaving another man dead.
On November 20th, 2021, Tucker returned home from the grocery store and became angry with the woman, and slapped her in the face.
Video shows the woman cleaning the floor with paper towels before Tucker grabbed her arm, pulled her down to the floor, and spun her around.
The report reads he "held her by her ankles while he pushed her body back and forth over the spot on the floor. Tucker then drug her by her ankles around the living room before releasing her and walking back into the kitchen."
When she was able to get off of the floor, her shirt was visibly wet, according to the report. The victim's family immediately removed her from the home, and video 10 days later showed bruising on the woman's arms and buttocks.
Family told deputies there were no other known incidents between Tucker and the woman before this one, according to the report.
Jail records show Tucker was released from Escambia County Jail on Monday on an unspecified bond.
Tucker is scheduled to appear in court on January 27th.
