Florida Man Stole Ambulance Because He Needed a Ride Home
A guy in Miami told police he needed a car to get home, and that's why he stole an ambulance from outside a hospital on Sunday.
Broward Sheriff's deputies responded to the stolen vehicle call at the North Broward Medical Center. Less than 30 minutes later, they found the ambulance on North Federal Highway using the built-in GPS.
Authorities tracked down 25-year-old Michael Paul and took him in. He had stolen the vehicle while firefighters were taking a patient into the hospital. When detectives asked why, Paul told them he "needed a car" to get home.
He was charged with grand theft auto, driving without a license, and violating a learner's permit.
